	作者简介：	John P. Glithero is a Chartered Engineer with an M.Sc. from Manchester University, and is researching for a Ph.D. and UMIST. He is a member of the Newcomen Society and the Assosciation for Industrial Archaeology. Michael R. Bailey has a D.Phil. from the Institute of Railway Studies and is a past- president of the Newcomen Society, an assosciate and former trustee of Manchester's Museum of Science & Industry and President of the Museum Friends. Michael R Bailey:英国铁道学院博士，英国纽康门协会前会长，曼切斯特科学工业博物馆前任副理事。 John P Glithero是特许工程师，英国纽康门协会与工业考古学会成员（Newcomen Society and the Association for Industrial Archaeology)。曼切斯特大学理学硕士，现在曼切斯特大学读博士。
